Chiropractor and entrepreneur Dr. Todd Fiebiger recently sold his private practice in Fargo, North Dakota. Having opened Fiebiger Chiropractic in 1995, shortly after he finished studying to be a chiropractor, Dr. Fiebiger went on to grow the practice into a $1 million business over the next 17 years. Despite selling the clinic, Dr. Fiebiger remained dedicated to his clients, 95 percent of whom returned to him for long-term treatment. To allow them to adapt to a new owner, Dr. Fiebiger arranged a multi-year transition agreement with the practice’s buyer, who also benefited from the steady revenue stream assured by Dr. Fiebiger’s continued presence at the practice.
Dr. Todd Fiebiger grew his start-up into a $1 million business by being not only a skilled chiropractor, but also a dedicated businessman. He handled the practice’s basic business needs, including billing clients, submitting insurance claims, remaining in compliance with Medicare reporting regulations, and creating budgets. He also deployed business-to-business marketing strategies to ensure his practice would receive a steady flow of patient referrals. These strategies consisted of developing relationships with hospitals, clinics, major insurance carriers, and the human resource heads of local businesses, all of whom could provide him with patients through referrals. He also established a reputation as an authoritative chiropractor in his community by giving lectures to the public on issues such as ergonomics, repetitive injuries, injury prevention, and worker’s compensation and liability.
Dr. Todd Fiebiger attended Northwestern College of Chiropractic, graduating with a Doctorate in 1995. Prior to studying to be a chiropractor he attended the University of Minnesota and earned a Bachelor of Science in Physiology in 1992. Since selling his practice, Dr. Fiebiger has been working as an independent financial sales executive and consultant.
